Blue and Gold Banquets

Pack-1218 celebrates scouting's anniversary in February with a "birthday party" called the "Blue & Gold" banquet, which is truly one of the most memorable highlights of the year. The banquet brings friends, families, and the scouting community together for an enjoyable and memorable evening of awards and recognition.

The purpose of the Blue & Gold banquet is to celebrate the scouting/pack's anniversary by recognizing cub scouts, pack leaders and other adults who have gone the extra mile to help and inspire leaders, scouts, and parents. Pack 1218 invites former members and other Scouting or community leaders to attend the Blue & Gold banquet; sometimes, as an added special event, the pack recognizes and celebrates "Crossing Over," which is celebration unto itself, recognizing WEBELOS scouts who have qualified and decided to transition to boy scouts, which provides an exciting program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness through a plethora of enjoyable and memorable activities. 

As a special note, the Blue & Gold banquet needs a lot of planning and lot of volunteers, in order to make this event a success for the Scouting community.
