Pack 1218 Pinewood Derby - Building Regulations

ALL of the scouts/participants derby cars must pass the following 11 inspection points, in order to qualify for the race:

1. Width shall not exceed 2-3/4" inches.
2. Length shall not exceed 7" inches.
3. Height shall not exceed 3" inches.
4. Weight shall not exceed 5 ounces.
5. Axles, Wheels, and body shall be from the material provided in the kit.
6. The use of wheel bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited.
7. Lubricating oil of any type is prohibited.
8. Axles may be lubricated with powdered graphite or silicone.
9. The car shall not ride on any kind of spring.
10. The car must be free-wheeling; the use of starting or power devices is prohibited.
11. No loose materials of any kind are allowed in or on the car; all materials MUST be fastened to the car
